ZOE

When in second grade my teacher told us that we were going to build a cardboard house, we were a bit worried at first, but working together is better than arguing or complaining. We were very negative in the beginning of the process and “tossed” horrible comments (and thoughts) into the room like “We’re never going to get this,” “We never should have started this”, and others. Every second was a moment we wanted to stop working and dig ourselves into a deep, dark, damp hole. As time flew by we stopped fighting as much and started working together. A few days later after we had finished the cardboard house we had to knock it down, but we all knew that we had grown much closer because of the shared struggle and would alway remember and cherish the fond memories of building the house together.
