One day in first grade,Cricket was diagnosed with dyslexia and had to take it slow and steady. She wanted to quit multiple times, but she showed perseverance. On some days Cricket hid from Catherine her tutor, when it had been a particularly hard day and waited their session out behind her teachers podium. Even though she was called multiple times by Catherine. Cricket could get really ANGRY when she had to learn the ABCs again, and got really mean on those days. Cricket had the problem of having a fixed mindset, and would go home and tell her parents that she would never learn to read. Over the years, Cricket progressed through Catherine and slowly learned to read, and four years later Cricket graduated from Catherine and is now reading the Hunger Games.
